Joe Rogan has recently voiced concerns about social media's role in spreading misinformation, particularly about health issues. In a conversation with filmmaker and health journalist Max Lugavere on "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan discussed the dangers of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), also known as "forever chemicals." These chemicals are found in many everyday products, including toilet paper, food packaging, cosmetics, and dental floss. PFAS are problematic because they break down very slowly and persist in the environment. Studies have linked PFAS exposure to various health problems, including increased cholesterol, high blood pressure, reduced immunity, reproductive issues, and a higher risk of certain cancers.
